My client: is a national business with over 600 branches across the UK with a fantastic reputation within their field selling and distributing goods to the trades industry.


About the role

As Area Sales Executive in the Southern Region you will be responsible for developing and achieving sales, gross margin targets and operational excellence for a specified customer base together with the consistent implementation of company policies and procedures. You will also develop a strong sales culture, build close relationships within the branch network and commit to the national customer development strategy of the business. You will be responsible for up to 100 varied accounts, some of which spend up to 100k per annum. Alongside this you will be working closely with 14 Branches across the region who will help lead your sales strategy and aid you in growth of the contracts.
 

Key responsibilities

  • To identify and develop new and existing accounts to maximise the growth of sales and margin.
  • Maximises sales, GP, growth and cash flow by effective debtor management. Contributes to budgeting process and provides statistical information as required
  • Integrate with a strong sales culture, build close relationships with Customers, within the branch network and contribute to regional development strategy
  • Ensure outstanding customer care through customers and branches to realise market potential; ensure regular personal face to face meetings with allocated and large regional customers


About you

You will have come from a sales background – ideally within trades/labour but areas outside of this will also be considered. Proven account management is key and have the drive and determination to surpass all KPI’s and sales targets set by my client. As well as this you will have exceptional communication skills and be able to identify and understand business opportunities as they come.
