Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £80k - £110k depending on experience plus car and benefits

My client needs an exceptional Senior Financial Controller/Head of Finance to join the Senior Management Team.  Supporting the CFO, this position has overall responsibility for all day-to-day aspects of Finance. The successful candidate will help develop a coherent and transparent finance function, supported by a motivated team.  Experience in cash management, invoice discounting and ERP is paramount, ideally with a manufacturing background.   

The Role: This role is all about being a number 2 to the Chief Financial Officer.  We are looking for a Head of Finance who has plenty of experience as an FC and has proven manufacturing expertise. Responsible for the efforts and results of the financial department. Strategic and hands-on for all financial and accounting activities. Overseeing financial department, managing staff in day-to-day operations.

The Ideal Candidate: Articulate qualified accountant – a strategic thinker, able to disseminate complex data into robust analysis.  Dynamic, self-self-starter with experience of working with small/mid-sized business in a fast-moving, changeable environment.   A natural hands-on leader who is used to developing teams to provide a fresh pair of eyes to the business, bring insight and experience of manufacturing environments.
