We have to this end worked with Air Liquide on a retained basis, and collaborate very closely with the company’s HR Team. It takes a keen cross-selling approach across its Group divisions, and maintains key relationships with major global food suppliers. With a wealth of expertise and continuous investment in food technology and product innovation, Chaucer is a world leader in health and wellness, and has huge growth potential given current trends within the marketplace.

DMA works with Chaucer Foods, looking after their UK production and European operations and recruiting numerous staff to roles ranging from Production Managers, Operational Staff and Quality Managers. The relationship has been in place for over five years, and in that time we have helped various managers, General Managers and Directors on a number of assignments. We have recruited for permanent positions, Interim Managers and Senior Confidential appointments alike – and continue to work closely with the company to support its continued growth and expansion.

DMA have enjoyed a long-lasting relationship of many years with Elaghmore, working with them in their full range of Manufacturing, Production and Services projects. For each new investment, we work closely with the respective business and spend time understanding their services, needs and challenges. For many years we have worked on both a contingency basis and retained approach for Elaghmore, depending on the immediate need and role, and also the confidentiality and urgency involved. Across the Group, we have sourced Managing Directors, Buyers, Sales Directors, Operations Directors, Quality Managers and Heads of Production in both the UK and Europe.

Arriva is part of the German-owned Arriva group, a leading public transport provider across Europe. Its UK arm operates a range of services from trains and waterbuses to buses and coaches; it is one of the leading transport operators in the UK. Its expansion over many years has seen it grow to include a number of storied regional operators across the country, the heritage of which the brand still honours.

DMA were appointed by the HR Director for Arriva Midlands, to recruit four General Managers. We took a targeted, regional approach, applying criteria which was not industry-specific but instead focused on sourcing strong General Managers with union experience within a blue-collar work force in a similar Engineering and Transport sector. Operating on a retained approach, we shortlisted and placed all four General Managers. Since that initial engagement, DMA have gone one to recruit a number of other permanent members of staff for Arriva that fall across all of their business specifics – Engineering Managers, Head Office Functions, Buyers, Operational Staff and Sales professionals.

Wolseley is the leading provider in the UK of building and plumbing products. Aimed squarely at construction professionals, Wolsey’s range of sub-brands include Parts Center and Pipe Center, Burdens Civils and MCA-Fusion Hire & Repair. Wolsey is the UK operating company of Ferguson plc, a multinational building materials company with more than 47,000 employees in 25 countries.

DMA have worked with Wolseley for many years, and have seen a large change in the business’s structures. Our strong relationships with both Directors and the resourcing team have helped us adapt to these changes precisely, and we have placed numerous members of staff into the Wolseley business. We have recruited confidential roles for senior positions among the Sales and Operational space of the Wolseley network, working well with their internal team to recruit a spread of staff that falls within the areas of head office functions, sales and operational/branch managers.

HIPPO aims to be the most trusted rubbish clearance brand in the UK. Founded in 2002, the company has grown exponentially since, reaching its one millionth collection in 2012. Its famous HIPPOBAGs are now supplemented by traditional skip hire, and with a five-star rating on Trust Pilot they are fulfilling their main goal of winning the trust of everyone in Britain looking for whatever reason to undertake rubbish clearance. Waste collection is the company’s end product, of course, but that requires a huge emphasis of fleet, transport and operations, too.

DMA were engaged by HIPPO’s Managing Director and Operations Customer Service Director, and we opened a conversation about how we might assist them in filling a number of key roles for their senior management team: Retail Sales Manager, Business-to-Business Sales Manager, Contract Manager and Head of Operations and Head of Transport. We spent time with the key decision makers, really getting to grips with the culture of the business – and DMA successfully placed all candidates for the key roles. We undertook this work on a Retained Assignment basis, with the commitment from the outset and the retainer being deducted from the fee. We’re proud to say that we have also been involved with HIPPO recruiting middle management and sales roles for the business on a contingency agreement.

Eastwood Park is a weddings, events and conference venue. Complete with accommodation options and great catering, Eastwood Park is a beautiful site for a range of special and important events and occasions. Located in the glorious Cotswolds, near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire, Eastwood also operates a technical and engineering business supplying training to the Medical profession.

DMA was approached by the Managing Director of Eastwood Park, since the team were in need of a new Sales Director for their training business. The challenge we had when searching for this role revolved around achieving a fit with the business: many of the team at Eastwood Park are academics, and any Sales Director would require empathy and synergy with that staff base. We ensured that all our candidates were available for face-to-face interview, in order to ensure appropriate cultural fit. We ran through the necessary process, supplying a shortlist of two candidates – and one of those is now the Sales Director for Eastwood Park!

FCC Environment came into being in 2012, following a merger between Focsa Services and Waste Recycling Group. Employing nearly 2,200 people across the UK, they manage a number of waste management sites nationwide, provide recycling services and landfill sites, plus energy from waste plants. FCC is the UK’s leading waste company, and they focus on minimising the use of landfill and managing resources responsibly.

DMA have recruited for FCC for many years, placing candidates across sales, operational and commercial roles – such as Bid Managers, Risk Managers and Technical and Engineering managers.
