Engineering Process Lead - Production 15 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT - with possibility of permanent position.
Location flexible: can be based anywhere in Europe with regular presence in London
Are you an accomplished engineer with bus or rail experience and a track record in developing maintenance processes? Do you enjoy European travel?
Client: One of the largest transport services organisations in Europe has embarked on a Group-wide programme of Engineering transformation, to develop structures and systems which will make engineering more effective. The goal is to introduce and embed the concept of Predictable Engineering across the organisation with a commitment to its ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) programme and SAP Hana will be designed, built and implemented from early 2020.
Role: Responsible for the standards, structures and processes that govern the operational Engineering setting. Your role will be to define the processes and structures to fulfil the maintenance plan. In particular this will include the creation of a common skills structure for Engineering with framework for skills compliance and quality assurance and guiding the execution of maintenance work, developing best practice, acting as the technical architect of the working practice.
You: An accomplished engineer, ideally with direct bus or rail experience, with a demonstrable track record in developing and improving maintenance processes, technical skills and the human factors that shape maintenance execution. You must be an outstanding communicator, have experience in the quality assurance of technical skills in the workshop environment, and you must be able to show you can lead the development of a technical skills framework, influence key stakeholders and bring your proposals to successful deployment.
You will have direct, demonstrable experience in the development and implementation of digital technology, be able to articulate the benefits of change, and ideally will be able to demonstrate experience in the preparation of business cases.
You should have solid experience in process improvement and be able to demonstrate practical examples of your achievements in this area.
Travel throughout European territories will be a defining feature of this role.
