Role – Finance Manager

Location – Coventry – Hybrid home work ( Birmingham , Warwickshire , West Midlands )

Salary – 45-50k

My client-  looking for a qualified Financial Manager to join them and look after the financial department of the business. You will lead on the day-to-day financial management and manage a small team to ensure the smooth operation of our finance function. You will oversee all aspects of their financial processes including account management, supplier payment, customer invoicing, payroll and financial planning and reporting. You will play an important part in the senior management team.


Job Description

  • Help define and implement financial strategy in conjunction with the Directors to deliver the overall business strategy and key business objectives
  • Manage and motivate a small team to deliver the company’s goals
  • Lead by example in the processing of transactions
  • Continuously monitor and control costs and seek to bring about improvements
  • Contribute to the commercial evaluation of plans and projects
  • Work closely with our external accountants of preparing company and group accounts
  • Lead on payroll management and processes
  • Lead the creation of a full set of management accounts each month for each trading business and contribute toward financial modelling with the senior management team
  • Provide rigorous financial oversight to ensure the highest standards of regulatory compliance through robust policies, processes, protocols and authorisations and deal with HMRC on all matters regarding reporting and payment of relevant taxes
  • Provide value-added commercial and economic insight to improve the functioning and prospects of the business


Essential requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Previous people management experience
  • A good working knowledge of Sage 50
  • Computer literate with a particular aptitude to working with MS Excel and a willingness to learn other software
